Inspired by Japanese military off-duty uniforms and the clothing worn by soldiers outside formal service. The design explores the point where regulation gives way to personal comfort: a functional shirt retaining the construction and discipline of a uniform while becoming softer and more relaxed through everyday use. The washed corduroy adds a sense of age and familiarity, referencing garments repeatedly worn beyond their original function. A study of uniform, utility and the transition from military discipline to everyday life.
