Sweater Open Knit Cream

Open-knit construction with a loose, irregular texture and soft cream finish. Oversized silhouette with an extra-wide crew neckline, dropped shoulders and exceptionally long, generous sleeves. Extended cuffs and raw edges emphasize the relaxed construction, while the shoulders are reinforced with exposed hand-finished seams using thick contrasting wool yarn. The open structure gives the garment a lightweight, semi-transparent appearance despite its substantial volume.

Inspired by vintage handmade knitwear, repaired sweaters and garments altered through repeated use. The intentionally loose knit, exposed seams and irregular finishing reference pieces reconstructed by hand rather than industrially perfected. Oversized proportions exaggerate the sense of a garment stretched and transformed over time, while the visible yarn work recalls traditional repair techniques. A study of imperfection, reuse and the intimacy of handmade clothing.
